Here are some interesting highlights from yesterday's message.
- Every man must travel on these five essential roads
- When you arrive in that place you don't judge the world by what you see in the natural
- They are roads we need to travel to have the fulness of God
- Life has socialised us to run away from pain to pleasure
- God is doing the work in you and not you doing the work in God.
Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
As we share certain hard truths from the scripture, we may tend to focus more on the process rather than the outcome. On the flip side, we may tend to focus more on the outcomes and be ignorant of the process the births the outcome.
1. Balance Christian living
II Corinthians 4:7,10,14
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you.
2. Jesus Christ was a product of a process that required the sacrifice of His will to God
Acts 10:38
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
3. The working of God in us is to reproduce Himself in us
John 15:5,7-8
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
4. Even knowing God and our activities in Him is not the end product God is seeking of us.
II Corinthians 12:7-10
And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
